Are you wondering about the rules for roundabouts in Waterloo Region?
(Updated June 2017): Roundabouts have been an important part of our roadway landscape since 2004. These circular intersections improve road safety, manage increased traffic demand and help improve air quality by eliminating unnecessary stops and idling.
However, to many residents the rules surrounding entering and exiting roundabouts, passing (is it allowed??) and general roundabout etiquette remain a mystery. Wonder no more! Now you too can be a roundabout pro and enjoy driving in and around Waterloo Region with confidence.
The Region’s 2011 “Practice Makes Perfect!” roundabout education campaign includes a series of four new instructional television commercials highlighting proper driving etiquette at roundabouts. To learn how to practice proper driving habits in roundabouts, you can watch the television commercials here: GoRoundabout.ca.
